Virginia Tech Hokies Secure Commitment from DB Turmarian Moreland

The Virginia Tech Hokies continue to strengthen their 2027 recruiting class with the recent commitment of three-star cornerback Turmarian Moreland. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound athlete from Palm Beach Lakes High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, chose the Hokies over notable programs like Auburn and Georgia. Moreland's decision comes after a successful official visit where he felt a strong connection with the coaching staff, particularly head coach James Franklin. This commitment marks a significant addition to Virginia Tech's defensive lineup, as Moreland is expected to play safety at the collegiate level. He is the second safety to join the Hokies' 2027 class, following Elijah Butler from Baltimore. Moreland's versatility, having played both wide receiver and defensive back in high school, adds depth to Virginia Tech's roster as they aim for a competitive future in the ACC.
