Virginia Tech Hokies athletic director Brian White has hired Brad Bell as Executive Associate Athletics Director of Advancement and Executive Director of the Hokie Club. Bell arrives after five years at Georgia, where he helped raise tens of millions for a program that won back-to-back national championships in 2022 and 2023.
Bell has over 14 years of fundraising experience, including 12 in athletics. He earned an MBA from Georgia and a business degree from Furman, where he was a four-year football letterman and senior co-captain. His track record includes securing transformational gifts and building donor relationships.
White called Bell the ideal leader to elevate Virginia Tech’s fundraising efforts. The hire comes as the Hokies prepare for their 2026 season opener against VMI Keydets on September 5. Bell’s expertise will be critical as the program seeks to enhance facilities and support competitive success.
Bell will oversee all advancement initiatives, focusing on major gifts and donor engagement. His first priority will be integrating with Virginia Tech’s athletic department and aligning fundraising goals with the team’s on-field ambitions. The Hokies aim to build on recent momentum under new leadership.
